- Pickleball can be played with two or four players.
- The court is similar in size to a doubles badminton court.
- The serve must be made underhand and the server must keep both feet behind the baseline.
- The serve is made diagonally cross-court and must land in the opposite service court.
- Only the serving team can score a point.
- The ball must bounce once on each side before players can hit it in the air (this is known as the double bounce rule).
- After the ball has bounced once on each side, players can either hit it in the air or let it bounce again.

- The first team to reach 11 points (with a two-point lead) wins the game.
- In the event of a 10-10 tie, play continues until one team has a two-point lead.
